CURITIBA´S HIDDEN GEMS: INCLUDE SPECIAL PLACES IN YOUR TOUR.
The visited places may change due to restrictions regarding pandemic.
If you like to visit different, off-the-beaten track places, include the Curitiba´s Hidden Gems in your itinerary.
You will see little-known, but very interesting places during the tour, some are even unknown to most “curitibanos”.
Scheduling well in advance is necessary and mandatory so we can include the Holocaust Museum in the tour.
‒ Schonstatt Shrine:breathe fresh air into a place of peace and reflection in the middle of the native forest in a residential area of Curitiba.
‒Barigui Park: walk through the largest park in Curitiba, a place of leisure and events of the city.
‒ Santa Maria Chapel: get to know the headquarters of Camerata Antiqua in Curitiba. It has a beautiful structure and is the home of the city’s classical music.
‒ Museum of Life: learn the importance of the workings of the Children’s Pastoral in its headquarters, where Dr. Zilda Arns worked.
‒ Lunch time in the City Center (not included).
‒Egyptian Museum (Rosicrucian Order): visit this unusual museum that is inside the Rosicrucian Temple, a philosophical institution that has its Brazilian headquarters in Curitiba. You can also visit the Museu Menino de Ouro: Tutankhamon, that reproduces the famous tomb of the Egyptian king (optional – ticket not included). These museums close mondays.
‒ Holocaust Museum: learn and reflect on the only museum dedicated to this theme in Brazil. It tells the story of the Holocaust and also houses accounts of survivors who rebuilt their lives in Curitiba. Moving and very relevant. Minimum age for visitation: 12 years old.
‒ Try the famous “Carne de Onça” (Jaguar’s meat), a Curitiba delicacy (similar to the French steak tartare). Except Sunday,the dish is prepared in front of you. If you like it, you can prepare the recipe home. On Sunday, the tasting happesn in a traditional bar in the old town (Centro Histórico).
The itinerary may change and include places such as the Solar do Barão, Iguaçú Palace, Cine Passeio or others in case any of the other attractions is closed.
ITINERARY CURITIBA´S HIDDEN GEMS
Departure from the hotel or central address at 8:30 AM.
This tour will visit the Santa Maria Chapel, Life Museum, Schonstatt Shrine, Barigui Park, lunch stop (optional), Egyptian Museum (Rosicrucian Order), Holocaust Museum and end with a stop to try the famous Carne de Onça (jaguar meat).
End at the hotel or central address between 3:30 and 4 PM.

Normal time for leaving central addresses in Curitiba: 8:30 AM. End between 3:30 and 4 PM.

Required Documents: all must bring original documents or certified copies with photos. Children under 12 years of age can travel with an original birth certificate or a certified copy of this document. The current Brazilian legislation applies in case the child is traveling without the parents.
