✅ WHAT TO EXPECT OF THE TOUR: 

  • You will have round trip transfers from central hotels or adresses in Curitiba from 7 am. If you prefer, you can go directly to the Rail Station by your own.  Let us know where you will be staying or book your hotel with us! 
  • Make one of the most famous rail tours in the world from Curitiba to Morretes! It's a train from the 1960s that passes through the largest area of ​​preserved Atlantic Forest in Brazil. Includes train ticket in the tourist category (details below). Train departure at 8:30 am and estimated time of arrival at 12:30 pm. 
  • Tempo livre para lunch in Morretes by your own. No horário combinado, encontre-se com o guia para continuar o passeio. 
  • You will have time to walk in Morretes and then the group will go to Antonina by van. Discover these two historic cities, with their picturesque houses and typical products, such as cachaça, banana candy and local handicrafts.
  • Return to Curitiba by van or mini-bus via Estrada da Graciosa or BR-277, depending on weather conditions and the highway. Arrival scheduled at 5:30 pm.

ABOUT THE TOURIST CLASS 🚃 

It is the most numerous, with cushioned seats arranged along the corridor and windows that can be opened on both sides. There is a bathroom on board and during the train ride a guide will share all the history and curiosities of the railway (only in Portuguese). Includes a basic snack (cookies) and a drink (water or soft drink) per person. We recommend that you bring something additional to eat and drink, as long as it fits in your backpack. It is not permitted to bring alcoholic drinks.

Included Services

Normal departure time: vans pick up between 7:00 and 7:45 in centrally located hotels in Curitiba. Be ready at 7:00,please. 

Transfer by van or microbus from your hotel or central address in Curitiba to Rodoferroviária;

8:30 until approx. 12:30 pm – train ride in the tourist category with guide in Portuguese, simple snack kit and 1 water or 1 soft drink per person;

Tour in Morretes and Antonina;

Return via Estrada da Graciosa or BR-277, depending on weather and road conditions. Tour end: in Curitiba about 17:30.

Not included: lunch, personal expenses, etc. 

This tour is operated by Special Paraná in partnership with another company. Depending on the opening hours and traffic, the guide might or might not stop at a bananas candy shop and at Estrada da Graciosa. Ask the guide for details in the tour day. 

In case you choose to have lunch with the group, you will pay the prices listed on the menu. 

Are you traveling with kids or teenagers? Brazilian law demands that you bring original documents. In case of foreigners, please bring passport. For Brazilian citizens: kids up to 12 years old are allowed to travel with birth certificates. For elder children and teenagers, ID or passport are accepted. Children up to 16 years old are allowed to travel only with parents or documented travel guardians. Avold problems and bring the correct documents to board.
