✅  WHAT TO EXPECT OF THE TOUR:

  • You will have round trip transfers from central hotels or adresses in Curitiba from 7 am. If you prefer, you can go directly to the Rail Station by your own. Let us know where you will be staying or book your hotel with us! 
  • Make one of the most famous rail tours in the world from Curitiba to Morretes in the Bove / pet friendly! There are 28 seats: panoramic windows, central balcony, different snacks and unlimited drinks. The only option that allows pets. Train departure at 8:30 am and estimated time of arrival at 12:30 pm. 
  • Regional lunch in Morretes or Antonina: “barreado”: ​​beef stew served with rice, cassava flour and bananas, salad, fish and shrimp, all separately. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when booking.
  • Walk by Morretes and then visit Antonina by van. They are two historic cities with houses and typical products, such as cachaça, banana candy and local handicrafts.
  • Return to Curitiba by van or mini-bus via Estrada da Graciosa or BR-277, depending on weather conditions and the highway. Arrival scheduled at 5:30 pm.

ABOUT BOVE / PET CLASS 🚃 

Unique decoration, with capacity for up to 28 people in lounges for 2, 3 or 4 people. It has a large central balcony and bathroom on board. The tour includes a guide who tells you all the history and interesting facts about the railway. The on-board service includes snacks and drinks (water, soft drinks and unlimited beer).  You might travel with or without pets! 

It is an environment intended for friends and dog owners and there may be animals of different sizes. It is always sanitized, but it may have a characteristic odor of animals and hair. If you are sensitive or allergic, it is not the right category for your tour.

Want to bring your pet? You will need to bring a recent travel authorization from your vet, vaccination certificate, bowl of food, toilet mat, collar and transport crate for the van. The rules are the same as the legislation stipulates for road travel! For your Pet, a fee of R$30 will be charged. We will send the necessary documents and charge the fee separately. Please inform us in your booking notes if you would like to bring your pet. It is your responsibility to bring all the necessary documentation and boarding will not be permitted if anything is missing!

In case you want a seat for your pet at the van, an additional fee of R$ 60 will be charged. It is necessary to bring a pet seat belt. 

Why the name Bove? A fair tribute to Prof. Bove, who helped train generations of veterinarians in Curitiba.

Normal departure time: vans pick up between 7:00 and 7:45 in centrally located hotels in Curitiba. Be ready at 7:00,please. Tour end: in Curitiba about 17:00 to 17:30.

Shared transport by van or minibus with pick up at your hotel or central address;

8h30 – aprox .12h30 – Passeio de trem na categoria Bove / Pet com guia em português à bordo, lanche e bebidas inclusas (água, suco, refrigerante e cerveja à vontade); poderão haver animais a bordo!

Guided tour in Morretes and Antonina with entrance fee to Hisgeopar;

Typical lunch (barreado - cooked beef, accompanied by fish, shrimp, rice and salad).

Return via Estrada da Graciosa or BR-277, depending on weather conditions and the highway.

Not included: drinks and desserts during lunch, personal expenses, etc.

This tour is fully operated by Serra Verde Express. Depending on the opening hours and traffic, the guide might or might not stop at a bananas candy shop and at Estrada da Graciosa. Ask the guide for details in the tour day. 

Are you traveling with kids or teenagers? Brazilian law demands that you bring original documents. In case of foreigners, please bring passport. For Brazilian citizens: kids up to 12 years old are allowed to travel with birth certificates. For elder children and teenagers, ID or passport are accepted. Children up to 16 years old are allowed to travel only with parents or documented travel guardians. Avold problems and bring the correct documents to board. 

TO BOARD WITH YOUR PET: Present the vaccination card and authorization from the veterinarian to carry out the tour (the same must have been issued less than 15 days before the departure date); Sign the terms of responsibility for transporting animals; Pay a fee of BRL 30.00 per animal.
Each owner is responsible for bringing their pots, food and toilet mats. According to Law nº 11.531/03, the use of leashes, collars and muzzles is mandatory for breeds such as Neapolitan Mastiff, Pit Bull, Rottweiller, American Stafforshire Terrier and all those derived from the aforementioned ones.
